Inexpensive Art Idea

I’ve had the idea to frame pages of a book for a while now.  Pictured above is a page from A Christmas Carol framed and matted.  I think this would look great as part of a gallery wall – a project for another day.

Chevron Stripe Tote Bag

A little tote bag I made for myself on this snowy Saturday afternoon.  I used a dusty blue chevron pattern on the outside and ivory linen for the lining and the handles.  This has beach bag written all over it.

Pencil Case

I took some time out of my morning to make a little zipper pouch for all of my sharpie paint pens.  I think they’ll be happy in their new home.  I love this green and ivory linen blend fabric I picked up recently.

A Zipper Pouch for my Nook

Let’s just say, zippers and I have never been great friends.  I wanted a cute little pouch to hold my new Nook and I saw one I liked online for $60!  I had to try to make it myself before spending that much on a simple zipper pouch, especially since I had all of the materials on-hand.  I love this yellow chevron pattern and I have to say it’s far from perfect but I’m happy with the way it came out.

Chevron Stripe Dog Bed

I whipped up this little chevron striped dog bed this morning.  The top is a charcoal and white stripe and the bottom is a bright blue linen.  It has an envelope back and fits a standard size bed pillow so its easy to take off and wash.

Pink – but not too pink

A nice way to add some pink to your room with overdoing it.
